To Hero Support, I found your website after troops here in Afghanistan were talking about how grateful they were of receiving a foam mattress from Hero Support. I found your website and see what you guys do. I am currently deployed to Afghanistan for my third tour wy second one in less than 3 years. As you know the quality of mattress here is not the best. I had 2 back surgeries in the last 4 years. I will like to request one of your mattress if by any chance you still have some available. My thanks in advance to you and your team of great American that still support us. What we do here is easier to do when we know that people like you care about us. Dear Rita, I want to take this time to give you a heartfelt thanks for your support and service, and make no mistake what you are doing for me and my fellow soldiers is amazing. The mattress topper is awesome and I couldn't wait to get back to my bunk just to try it out. We aren't issued mattresses only box springs so you can imagine how much I appreciate this gift. I am now the envy of my roommates so any more you send will be put to good use.
Word is spreading through the Army spouse grapevine that your organization sends mattress toppers to deployed troops. Although my husband has been gone for 6 months and has many more to go he's never complained about his bed in Afghanistan....until I emailed him about this. What he wouldn't give for a better night's sleep over there and to wake up without back pain. If it is at all possible to send one to him we would both be eternally grateful.
My husband received his mattress topper on September 29. After 2 nights of sleeping on it
he has declared it the greatest gift I've ever had sent to him. He's sleeping better than he has since he left home in
early March and has no more back pain.

I recently was given one of your bed toppers at xxx Airfield in Afghanistan. I'd not slept well since arriving here, and the attempts to remedy the poor bed problem failed. There's just not a lot of choices here or at the base exchange. I normally don't have to set an alarm, as I usually wake up early anyway. The first night I slept on one of your bed toppers was the best night of sleep I've had since I got here, and I should have set an alarm! Fantastic, and what a difference to truly feel rested. you sent him. To everyone from the individuals that donated money,
supported your efforts all the way to the wonderful people that package
and mail these mattresses, I salute you. You brought a little bit of
home and comfort to the battle field where Americans and many other
Nations woman and men, sons and daughters, dads and moms, uncles and
aunts and so on lay their lives down to help the people of Afghanistan.
I've now slept on my mattress two nights in a row and have slept through the entire night (for the most part) and woken up refreshed and ready to face the day.

My name is Lynsey DeVane and I was lucky enough to get a hold of one of the mattress toppers that you and your family mailed over here. Let me just say a huge thank you for doing that! I think the past two nights have been the best night’s sleep I have had since I left home. I am also planning on going out to the store and buying one of the toppers for my bed at home when I return! They are absolutely amazing. Sweetheart, you have been on my mind. I love how that works –
your generosity still moves me. You send as many as can be sent and I
promise to get them distributed immediately. The word is out about the
mattress toppers and Marines and Sailors often ask me if there will be
more coming. You really do not know how these have been the BEST CARE
PACKAGES EVER!!! Nothing else compares to the comfort that you have
provided all of us. My rest time may not be that long, but it’s
comfortable. As for your Oktoberfest party – I can just see it all in
my mind, and I hope that I and my family will be invited next year. I
will be there and I’d love to bring my sister in law and brother. My
sister in law is a Schwantner from Chicago, and any German cooking we
get is from her. She has taught my children some German too. I will
work on getting some old world garb in the meantime.
February is coming quickly and I cannot wait to hold the kids – and
even Norman. We will drive back east and stop at many wonderful USA
landmarks – to include Grand Canyon and Rivers and just enjoy our
moments in a free and wonderful land. I miss my homeland and will never
take it for granted again.
